Pariva Dr, Cardiff

A coastal promontory in Cardiff, southwest-facing, golden hour arriving every evening whether or not anyone had built for it.

So we built for it. Bifold doors off the kitchen so the whole back of the house opens onto the deck, and the sunset stops being something you go outside for. White oak, gold, waterfall edges, wine fridge — organic coastal modern, done properly rather than by the catalogue.

The ADU is a full one-bed with its own bath, which in Cardiff means the house can pay for part of itself.
